Our pre-release standard
- Start with a primary source. The official Steam listing and its app API are the baseline for release, feature, developer, publisher, and system-requirement facts.
- Label the check date. Pre-release pages state when the source was reviewed because store details can change.
- Do not fill gaps. Missing values, controls, outcomes, anomaly lists, recipes, codes, and stats remain missing until tested.
- Test the public build. Launch-specific steps must be reproducible and include a game version or test date.
- Correct visibly. Material corrections update the page date and replace the unsupported statement rather than preserving it for traffic.
What editorial advice means
Some pages offer checklists and communication patterns. These are clearly described as editorial organization methods built around confirmed mechanics. They are not presented as hidden systems, guaranteed optimal routes, developer instructions, or launch-build test results.
