The confirmed failure chain
The official store page describes a clear change of state. Missing a doppelganger during customer checks allows it to return later in that shift and try to kill the players. Normal station work then gives way to barricading, trap placement, and hiding.
- A non-human leaves. The customer check has failed to stop a doppelganger.
- The threat returns. The official description says it comes back as a horrible monster.
- Board the doors. Barricading is a confirmed response, but material counts and interaction time are not published.
- Place traps. Traps are confirmed, while types, damage, placement rules, and durability remain launch-dependent.
- Find a place to hide. Hiding is confirmed; guaranteed safe locations are not.
Pre-release emergency brief
This is a communication plan, not a claimed speedrun route. It helps a team switch objectives quickly without asserting where tools spawn or how monsters path.
- Use one emergency call. Make the phase change obvious over proximity chat.
- Report, do not guess. Say which door, item, or threat you can actually see in the launch build.
- Avoid duplicate work. Teammates should announce a barricade or trap task before committing to it.
- Preserve an escape decision. Do not label any route safe until it is tested across multiple randomized shifts.
- Record the version. Trap or monster behavior may change, so reproducible findings need a build date.
Facts not available before launch

Endless Mode note
A free major Endless Mode update is planned for Q4 2026 with exclusive customers, weapons, traps, monsters, and more. Those planned additions are not treated as launch content, and this guide will keep Story Mode and Endless Mode findings separated.
